COVER PAGE

Also this placement is easily visible for the audience who are reading my magazine to see and it is not too big because it is not one of the main stories / cover lines which the audience would be interested in reading about. I have placed the secondary skyline just above the title of my magazine, but I have left enough space above the secondary skyline for the main skyline which I believe will definitely emphasise both skylines to the audience. I have written this secondary skyline in the font 'Rockwell' and I have used the colours of red and grey which follow the overall house style and colour of my magazine. I have put emphasis on the word 'FREE' by putting the word in all capital letters because this is the main word that will catch the reader’s eye and will entice the reader into wanting to read the magazine because of the key word 'FREE'. I have placed the main skyline above the secondary skyline at the top of my magazine front cover.

The colours I have used for this main skyline are of black and red and have been written in the font 'Rockwell' which again follows the overall house style and font of my music magazine. I have used a lot of big names / artists throughout the whole of the main skyline to intrigue the audience into wanting to read the magazine because if somebody sees a big name on the front of the magazine, they will immediately be engaged by the famous names and would want to find out more about them.

I have placed the title of my magazine straight across the top of the page to make it clearly visible for the reader / audience to see. It is going to be the largest title on my front cover, as it is the name of my magazine therefore I have made it the biggest size so it will be the first thing that the audience reads when they first see the magazine. I have left enough space above the title for my skyline and sub-skyline. I have chosen to change the colour of the letter 'M' to red and have the colours red, black and grey as my overall house style colour. I am going to cover my title up with part of my models head which shows professional work and also shows confidence within my magazine. Below the letters 'M' and 'E' I am going to have the date on the magazine and the price. I have placed the main cover line for the front cover on my magazine. I have placed the main cover line to the left of the page because I am going to have my main feature article in the middle of the page some of the main cover lines words will cross over onto the magazine again showing professionality and confidence. I have used the house colours of red, grey and black. The biggest font size I have used is on the name 'IZZY HENNESSY'. This is because the photo I am going to use is going to be of the Artist 'Izzy Hennessy' so the main cover line will be about her.

The name is very dominant and bold and will be a name that catches the reader’s eye when they first see the magazine. I have put the quote in the colour jet black so it will stand out from the rest of the text as it is an important feature to the main story / cover line. I have placed the puff on the front cover of my magazine. I have placed the puff towards the bottom left of the page which I am later going to put a jaggered ring around to make the puff stand out like a proper magazine. The number 5 is much larger than the text, which emphasizes its importance making it more appealing to the audience. I believe that the puff emphasizes the professionalism of the magazine because many professional music magazines like 'Vibe' and 'NME' all have stickers with puffs on them.

I have used the colours black and red on the font, with the words, 'blow out posters' in red, because this is the part of the puff that will entice the audience into wanting to read / buy the magazine. I have placed the date of the magazine issue and the price of the magazine. I have placed the date and the price of the magazine below the title of my magazine because this is where professional magazines like 'NME' and 'Q' place their price and date.
